New England Organbuilders specializes in organs for early music, such as table organs, organs for Basso Continuo use, and as solo instruments for small ensembles. Having a background in church organs, our continuo organs have a sound unlike others.  They are more easily tuned, and have a distinctive presence.

About The Builders
Christopher Walton, having worked for many years in the organ industry and coming from a background of building organs, formed New England Organbuilders in order to build instruments for early music in a historically inspired manner.
Chris studied organ and church music at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ with Eugene Roan. While a student, he performed with the New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, New Jersey Symphony, and the American Symphony Orchestra under such conductors as Riccardo Muti, Kurt Masur, Robert Shaw, Hugh Wolff, and Zubin Mehta. He helped maintain the school's 24 pipe organs and has performed at the request of the Philadelphia chapter of the American Guild of Organists. He currently shares the position of organist / accompanist with his wife at South United Methodist Church in Manchester, Connecticut.
He has maintained, built and restored numerous organs, including a new portative organ for the home of Dr. Joseph Flummerfelt, which was first heard publicly at the Bach Festival in Princeton, NJ.
